The Chapman's | Walhalla, SC | Wedding | March 21, 2020

Updated: Jun 25, 2020

Brandy and Cody got married on a gorgeous sunny day on the third weekend in March. Government shelter in place orders was creeping through the US, but they did not let that stop them from celebrating their special day with their closest friends and family. Brandy and Cody Got engaged October 9, 2019, after being together for nearly 5 years. Cody planned the proposal when the couple was on a Caribbean cruise. On their first outing on the trip, he dropped to one knee and said “Well, I have waited for as long as I can and I can’t do this anymore without you” and dropped to one knee. She snatched the ring out of the box “so it wouldn’t go over the cliff” and leaped at him with a big YES! I am so glad they did not have to wait any longer!

Brandy got ready at her Uncle’s house in Walhalla, SC. Her sisters and mother were there to help her get into her dress. Before heading to the ceremony, she had the sweetest first look with her Father. Tears filled his eyes as he saw how beautiful his daughter looked in her gown. Brandy wore a lace fitted dress with stunning lace sleeves and a long veil that surpassed her train. Brandy and Cody tied the knot in a quaint little chapel in their hometown of Walhalla, SC. They said “I do” in front of a small crowd of loved ones before heading up to the reception.

We spent some time in the gardens of Durham Hall capturing the newlyweds before announcing them into the reception hall. The reception was decorated with lovely pink roses to match Brandy’s bouquet. The two, long, farmhouse-style tables lined the dance floor as the couple had their first dance to a version of “You Are My Sunshine” by Morgane and Christ Stapleton. After dinner, the guest enjoyed the coffee and hot chocolate bar before heading out to the gardens to send the Bride and Groom off in a lovely sparkler exit. I absolutely loved being able to work with Brandy and Cody during this awesome time in their lives. I was so happy that they were able to have their wedding on the date they had been planning. I hope they have many wonderful years together and get to go on their honeymoon soon!
